Meet Us

Dr. Stacy A. Phelps D.C.

Dr. Phelps was born into a family of natural healthcare providers and was exposed to Chiropractic at a young age.

It was this foundation that eventually led her to change careers and focus her energy on the healing properties of the human body.

She grew up in the southwest suburb of Evergreen Park and attended Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School before heading west to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska to pursue a Bachelors degree in Psychology. After graduating from Creighton in 1998 she returned to the Chicagoland area where she began working as a counselor at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital.

he found working with children and adolescents both intensely rewarding and challenging. When deciding on what direction to further her education, she found the alternative healthcare profession to be a perfect fit. Her father, James had been a practicing chiropractic physician on the southwest side since 1971.

In her 5 years of work in the traditional hospital setting, she felt too many people were being treated as a “diagnosis” or a particular illness and wanted to shift her focus over to healing and health improvement rather than symptom management.

She began her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, IL and graduated in 2006 with honors. At NUHS Dr. Phelps also completed an additional Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and particularly enjoyed her courses in Gross Anatomy and Nutrition.

She also completed additional post-graduate courses in Acupuncture, Clinical Nutrition and Neurology. These classes are the foundation of her wellness philosophy that encompasses her practice to date. In 2006 she joined her father’s private practice and since then has been thoroughly enjoying her chosen career.

Recently, Dr. Phelps is 1 of only 235 trained healthcare practitioners in the country to have completed the Advanced Clinical Training program in nutrition to obtain her certification as a Master in Nutrition Response Testing. She has found that many common health conditions in our society can be improved through the use of nutritional supplementation and dietary changes. This program has made a significant difference in many of her patient’s lives!

“SAM”antha Margaret Wolf, LMT, CST

I graduated from the Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy in 2003. I went there to study with the massage therapist who helped me re-cooperate after a car accident with T-Bone whiplash. The combinations of Chiropractic care and massage therapy made me able to function again. I wanted to learn to do the same for others.  I have completed advanced training in cranio sacral therapy, clinical massage and shiatsu. When your treatment plan is created, I use a blend of techniques to best treat you and help you on the path to health and freedom from discomfort.

Massage therapy has been a long time interest. I started working doing massages when I was a freshman in college. I did primarily Swedish massage and acupressure for the head, treating fatigue, headaches, sinus pressure and tension. Now I treat all sorts of conditions: young atheletes, overuse injuries, TMJ syndrome, piraformis syndrome, plantar fascitis, shoulder injuries and sore backs to name a few. I will help you develop a home care plan including stretches and exercise to help speed your progress.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy playing music or swimming whenever I get a chance. I do personal training, teach aerobics, dance and spend time with my grandchildren.
