After a long cold winter, we are ready for sunshine and warmer weather! What better time to think about how you can be healthier in your day to day activities. Here are a few tips to get you going in this spring season:

  • Get Moving: try to go for walks daily or at least move for 5 minutes every hour. If you work at a desk or in front of the computer, this is especially important.
  • Get 15 minutes of sunshine a day: this is a great way for your body to get vitamin D. Vitamin D is important in helping protect the body from diseases and many types of cancer.
  • Incorporate a favorite smoothie in the morning for a boost of energy. One of my favorites is spinach banana. Spinach is important for skin and hair, bone health, and provides protein, iron, vitamins, and minerals.


Spinach Banana Smoothie

8 oz cold water

1 banana

Large handful of spinach

Squeeze of fresh lemon

Place ingredients into blender and blend at high speed. Enjoy!!
