What time is it?
It’s time for acupuncture!
Did you know that the time of day when you feel certain ailments and emotions can be a useful diagnostic tool in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The organ systems in TCM are all associated with specific times of the day and can provide helpful diagnostic clues. For example, if you wake every night at the same time, it’s quite possible that the organ health and/or the corresponding emotion associated with that time relate to you current health presentation. If you are already receiving regular acupuncture treatments, be sure to make note of this for your practitioner. It can be as simple as tonifying or sedating that organ/channel to greatly improve your sleep patterns and eliminate disrupted sleep.
If it’s a predominant emotion that you feel at certain times of the day, you can also cross reference that with the chart below to determine whether or not there is pattern associated with the time of day. If perhaps, every morning around 9am you start to over thinking, you may need to have your Spleen channel tonified. Any Chinese Medicine practitioner would be able to help you navigate through these cycles and get you back on track and balanced. Please call our office and schedule an appointment today!
